The foreign contribution regulation act (FCRA) registration process is important for businesses to get foreign donations in India. To start the ngo needs to apply on the line through the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) portal. They need to put a detailed application in favor of the required files, including their registration certificate, a list of board contributors and a bank account in India for foreign funds. Additionally, companies will have to disclose a minimum of 3 -12 month operating records and compliance with current policies. Once submitted the utility undergoes examination through MHA which can also take several months for approval.
